The Role
Communication is key to proactively support Sweco’s business goals and profitable growth strategy. In order to ensure Group consistency in building a strong brand and delivering on Sweco’s business strategy and goals, Sweco’s corporate communication team is pro-actively crafting and developing inspiring, aligned and fact-based strategic communication.
Sweco Group is now looking for an experienced Content Manager / Editor-in-Chief with great editorial and communications skills. This role will preferably be based at our headquarters in Stockholm. As a part the corporate communication team you will be coordinating and creating engaging and informative strategic content for Sweco Group’s various stakeholders and therefore play a pivotal role in shaping the content and direction of Sweco’s communication.
What you will do
Setting the editorial direction and content planning: You will lead the corporate communication team’s editorial work by developing editorial strategies and content plans that align with Sweco’s business plan priorities and communication strategy.
Content creation and collaboration: You will be responsible for elevating the narrative and creating inspiring and compelling content for different audiences and channels (written, audio, video). For this work you will be in close collaboration with communication colleagues in the various Sweco markets across Europe, as well as with experts within all the exiting fields of society transformation.
Coordination and collaboration: You will work closely with other internal writers and other contributors to ensure the content meets Sweco’s publication standards. You will develop ways of working for editorial collaboration between communicators within Sweco Group and across the Sweco markets, including planning and assigning articles and content, providing feedback, and conducting performance evaluations. Collaborate with external agencies when and where required.
Required skills and qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will also be considered.
- Excellent writing and editing skills in English
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative leadership skills, editorial expertise, and a deep understanding of the target audience and industry trends.
- Experience of liaising with stakeholders across functions and markets.
- Understanding of the role of digital and social media in the current environment and staying informed about changing trends.
- Structured and result oriented with proven ability of problem-solving.
- Proven proficiency in applying analytics to content strategy.
