String Furniture AB is a leading Scandinavian design company primarily known for the flexible and functional shelf system String®, a Swedish design icon from 1949. String Furniture was founded in 2004 and is today present in over 30 different markets around the world. We have just over 25 employees in Sweden, subsidiaries in Japan and a number of agents around the world. Production takes place in southern Sweden and the head office is located in Malmö. We work with the brands String and String Furniture and offer products for all rooms in the home and public environments such as offices. With the help of successful collaborations with well-known designers and architects as well as close collaboration with suppliers and resellers, sales today are over 260 million SEK. The business is growing both in Sweden and in the international market.

Global Marketing Manager, Malmö

With our strong main brand String®, we are now looking for a globally responsible marketing manager for String Furniture. You who have been involved in building a brand internationally - with all new channels that drive sales but also still build a brand in the long run. Knowledge of how to broaden a product range and how to create new sub-brands and appeal to new target groups is important.

Advertising, editorial and digital presence are central to our marketing as we don’t own our sales channels, but sell through resellers around the world. And here we must become even better to support them with brilliant communication.

We want to create a presence that raises eyebrows within the industry. The industry today is quite conservative - but things are starting to happen. E-commerce is increasing dramatically, digital tools allow you to “create” your desired product already at home on your computer and on the phone.

Here we have an important role in creating innovative tools, inspiration and content that makes you want to buy our products - at your nearest retailer, or via an e-commerce store.

We have a very strong history in the Nordic countries. But in the rest of the world, for many we are a completely new and modern brand, and this places greater demands on our new marketing manager where we have different stories to tell and where digitalization is in different stages in different countries.

Your role as Global Marketing Manager

In this role, you deliver and implement integrated global communications programs to support our brand goals. Your overall responsibility is to establish a global communications strategy, campaigns, programs and guidelines in line with the brand strategy plan and the annual budget and schedules.

You work with the marketing team and other cross-functional departments to lead the work with integrated marketing communication planning and development. You will be responsible for the global communications budget and work closely with the e-commerce team to deliver communications campaigns, programs and guidelines to support the different market needs.

You will also lead the work with integrated marketing communication and help the commercial team to develop creative workshops and inspirational programs for local markets.

Your qualifications.

This position requires an organized person, with relationship skills and attention to details. You must be able to lead in a multifaceted media landscape and be the company's conductor in terms of communication solutions that support our business. You are good at assessing creative ideas and designs. Strong communication skills and the ability to inspire teams are crucial. You will lead a small team that has extensive experience with the brand. That you communicate extremely well in English is obvious, and knowledge of German, French and / or Italian is a big plus.

Additional experience required for the position:

- At least 6 years of experience in international communication and campaign development

(not necessarily from the furniture industry)

- Integrated communication planning and media planning

- Brand differentiation and brand broadening

- Experience from both the client and agency side is a plus

- Development of brand engagement (Digital, PR, Influencers, Print etc.)

- A university degree or equivalent is preferred for this position in combination with relevant work experience.


Start date: As soon as possible before exciting launches 2021/2022.
